 Program for Oct 31th - Kathy Naftaly, Director of the Crandall Library reminded us the various service that the library provides.  For members who can not travel to the library for a book, the Crandall Library will mail the book free of charge to the persons home.  This was all made possible by a grant for this purpose.  Other service include, but are not limited to are the movies, special speakers, music perfromances, digital books, audio books, and music available for downloading.   Many things are available and happening at the Crandall Library.  
 
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities: Warm the Children Shoppers - shoppers needed to oversee purchases, Holiday Baskets (meals) for Thanksgiving to be given to families in need - volunteers needed for delivering meals (managed by the Salvation Army). Ringing the Bell for collecting donations for the Salvation Army.  Holiday Baskets (meals) for Christmas (preparing over 900 baskets for needed families as well as delivery (managed by the Salvation Army).  Childrens Books - Queensbury Elementary School.  Be on the lookout for these volunteer opportunities. Committee chairs can be found on our website or contact Ed Fitzgerald, Director of Club Service. 
 
November 7th - District Membership meeting for all district members from 6:30 - 8:30 at the First Reformed Chruch 10 N Church St., Schnectady, NY
 
November 9, 2019 - UN Day  
 
November 19th - Alzheimers Meeting at 7:30 AM, Community Room at Glens Falls Hospital
