Happy Sunday Fellow Rotarians! I don't know about you, but I am taking full advantage of this "Day of Rest"!
First, I would like to thank you for taking time out of your day to read the spinoffs! I will be sending these emails out weekly in order to keep everyone up to date on the latest club news, and of course, to follow up on our programs during our Thursday meetings!
Now, for anyone who missed this week's Zoom call, we had the pleasure of getting a virtual tour of The Hyde's newest collection from Mr. Jonathan Canning, Director of Curatorial Affairs. He brought us in for a first look at the Hyde's newest collections including the Russian Lacquer Paintings and the J.S. Wooley Photography Exhibit! Are you interested in learning more about these specific exhibits or finding out when they are open for viewing?
At the top of your spinoff you will see a box saying "Click Me....". I know, I know, everyone always tells you "If it says 'Click me' DEFINITELY don't click on it!" In this case, it's ok, you can do as the button says! I have included a link right to the Hyde's website so you can go straight to the source and learn everything you would like to know that was not covered in our Thursday meeting!
Mr. Canning also went through the new safety measures that the Hyde has put in place in order to keep their patrons safe while they move through the exhibits. These precautions include mask requirements, marking the floors with stickers showing where to stand in order to be 6 feet apart, and spacing the displays for exhibits 6 feet apart in order to maintain social distancing. I think we can all agree that the employees of The Hyde Collection are doing their part to help keep their visitors, and community, safe!
Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to see everyone on the Zoom call this Thursday!
