Telehealth Access for Seniors

Given COVID-19, most medical practices have switched to a telehealth model where doctors connect with patients via video chat. However, many elderly patients lack the camera-enabled devices necessary to attend these appointments. To help solve this problem, Telehealth Access for Seniors (https://www.telehealthforseniors.org/) collects old smartphones, tablets, and laptops and gives them to elderly patients so they can receive care without the risk of infection. They also provide remote tech support and guides for how to set up devices, FaceTime, and Telehealth apps. They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit completely comprised of college and high school-aged volunteers in 26 states and D.C. They have donated hundreds of devices to medical providers across the country.

If you have a spare device or charger to donate, please fill out the form on (www.telehealthforseniors.org/support-us) and a volunteer will contact you about getting the donation. Additionally, if you cannot donate a device, please donate to the GoFundMe (https://www.gofundme.com/f/telehealth-access-for-seniors) which will fund tablets, chargers, and shipping costs.
