On May 21st we presented our annual awards for Charter Day and for Rotarian of the Year.
Dan Hazewski was awarded the 2026 Charter Day award for his steady presence shaping our Club and community for decades through service, leadership, and commitment to others.
Nettie Kvick was awarded the 2026 Rotarian of the Year award for her dedication, energy, and leadership that have made a tangible difference in our community and our Club this year.
Dan Hazewski was awarded the 2026 Charter Day award for his steady presence shaping our Club and community for decades through service, leadership, and commitment to others. Dan joined the Rotary Club of Glens Falls in the mid-1980s, and from the beginning, he embodied the spirit of “Service Above Self”. He served over the years on our Board, chairing committees, and helped guide our charitable giving. Beyond Rotary and his professional life, Dan has been a force for good throughout the region, for example, by serving as a Commissioner for the Glens Falls Economic Development Group. In attendance to honor Dan, was his wife, Jan, and their son Dan Jr.
Nettie Kvick was awarded the 2026 Rotarian of the Year award for her dedication, energy, and leadership that have made a tangible difference in our community and our Club this year. Nettie joined our Club 2 years ago and since then has demonstrated the spirit of Rotary through “Service Above Self”. Her volunteerism also includes serving behind the scenes on the Board as PR Director and on other committees. She has shown commitment to the Club and to her new community by providing service, fresh energy, new ideas, and by using her skills. Nettie lifts others up and brings joyful enthusiasm in her service work and in building relationships with all.
