Monday, May 25th Glens Falls and Queensbury held a Memorial Day Parade. In honor of veterans and their families, Glens Fall Rotary worked on a collaborative effort with the Cities of Glens Falls, Queensbury, Warren County officials and more to put together a float for the parade.

The float trailer held two scenes: on the front half, soldiers at war are writing letters to family back home. On the back half, a living room scene shows a woman reading the letters to children. A narration by Bea Roman of real letters written by American soldiers during WWII played throughout the parade.
We would like to acknowledge the many people & organizations who helped make the float possible:
- Nicole Herwig, Executive Director Chapman Museum
- John Strough, Town Supervisor Town of Queensbury
- Town of Queensbury Highway Department
- Glens Falls VFW POST 2475
- Members of the Warren County, NY 250th Commission including: John Berry (Chair), Jennifer Brink (Events Chair), John Fitzgerald (Committee Member)
- Staff Sargent Kolbi Seeley, New York Army National Guard
- Matt Sicard (and his dog Ellie) for pulling our food truck!
Thank you to all the Glens Falls Rotarians who helped with this project!
