This past Thursday, our District Governor, postponed his visit to our club until Oct., 5, 2019. So instead of hearing about the district, I presented the Rotary International goals for 2019-2020. I hope to attach these goals to this Spinoff, but if it doesn't work, I will email them separately. The goals are in two (2) broad categories, Unite People and Take Action. Many of these goals we have incorporated into our club. There are others perhaps we could improve upon or become involved. For example, it was suggested articles about major upcoming speakers be published in the paper to perhaps attract guests who may become interested in Rotary. This was something that was part of the club activities in the past. Perhaps it can revisited.

September 6-8 - VetteFest in City Park. The Rotary Food Truck will be attending. Volunteers will be needed.

Veterans Appreciation Breakfast November 6, 2019 - The Conkling Center and the Glens Falls Senior Center are joining forces again this year to sponsor the Veterans Appreciation Breakfast at the Great Escape Lodge. Sign up has begun for veterans who would like to attend this event. If you are a veteran or know someone who is please consider this event and sign up through the Conkling Center.
Birthday Club for the month of August will be attending. Happy Birthday to all Glens Falls Rotarians born in August.
